Balanced Ergonomics OOS  (Occupational Overuse Syndrome) Reduction Program.

Balanced Ergonomics was the first Australian company focused solely on the risks associated with computer use in the modern office environment. In particular, the reduction of OOS (Occupational Overuse Syndrome).

At Balanced Ergonomics we have developed an extensive program designed to reduce the risk of OOS and other computer related disorders. The BE OOS reduction program involves the following.

  • Extensive education for senior managers, supervisors and general staff.

  • The provision of computer assisted rest and stretch break software to assist in the modification of risk prone work practices.

  • Objective tools to identify high risk groups.

  • Rehabilitation and case management.

  •  Workplace assessment including analysis of job tasks and workstation assessments.

  • Site audits.

  • Ergonomic equipment recommendations and supply.

  • Development of incident reporting and management systems.

We provide all these services as stand-alone modules. However we believe in isolation any of the above will not maximise the reduction of OOS in the workplace. Our methodology is both practical and relies on constant checks and measures to ensure the effectiveness of the program. The aim of the program is to create awareness and a sense responsibility in staff for their own well-being.  Please feel free to contact us for more information on the WorkPace rest and stretch software and our comprehensive range of services.
